Association for Clinical Research Malaysia

(ACRM) was established in 2005. It was conceived through the joint efforts of clinicians, epidemiologists, public health specialists, biostatisticians, health and IT professionals with interest in enhancing clinical research in Malaysia.

The establishment of the society was initially motivated by increasing awareness of the huge untapped potential of clinical databases and disease registers to serve as a powerful tool for public health surveillance and planning, health outcomes management and healthcare quality improvement. Whilst the aim remains over the years, its scope has been expanded to drive and promote quality clinically-related research.

Activities
The activities of the association include:
  • Conduct courses and trainings relevant to clinical research
  • Promote and enhance collaborative research
  • Establish a network of clinical researchers
  • Promote recognition for young researchers
