Excellence in evidence-based clinical care and advanced research requires up-to-date information. A national database for stroke and epilepsy helps to update the lack of the Malaysian data to continuously and systematically collect data on stroke and epilepsy patients in Malaysia.
The National Neurology Registry (NNeuR) is a first of its kind in Malaysia, thus serving as a resource to improve understanding of stroke and epilepsy. It is hope that this patient registry will also serve as a model for the establishment of a nationwide registry for stroke and epilepsy.
The establishment of the NNeuR is necessary to assist healthcare professionals or clinicians in evaluating the specified treatment and outcomes, examining factors that influence prognosis and quality of life and describing disease patterns which relevant to stroke and epilepsy in Malaysia.
