3. eNCVD Launch

31st March 2006 was a day that shall go down in the history of Malaysia’s health care. It was the day of the auspicious launch of the first nationwide database on cardiovascular disease starting with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). To date 6 pilot sites have notified close to 600 cases from 1st Jan 2006 from. Days of making “guestimates” will be long gone. This would be replaced by information at the “fingertips” with online submissions that make real-time data capture and access for cardiovascular diseases in Malaysia a dream finally realized.
